10. The Bourne Identity
This is a fantastic example of rough and realistic action that never falters. An unrivaled series began with this photo. Each scenario is carefully crafted to elicit a strong emotional response while maintaining a solid grounding in reality. Worth checking out if you’re a fan of the genre.
A wide variety of action sequences can be seen in this film. Instead of the usual quirks, it is grounded and authentic, which results in an engaging action movie. As the film delves into the solitary lives of its heroes, it amplifies the tension of the action moments.
A young Matt Damon stars as a mind-wiped assassin who is seeking to find himself in the film. It’s a fantastic action flick that’s well worth a second look.
Nine. Dune The epic scope of Dune’s battles rivals even that of the science fiction epic itself. As a result, it has some of the most breathtakingly brutal action sequences ever seen. In particular, the scenes in which Jason Momoa plays Duncan Idaho, a charming yet skilled warrior who embraces each new job with unparalleled recklessness and force, are standouts.
9. Dune: Action Movies on HBO
Momoa’s huge presence and might will be on display in one final moment in a tight tunnel where he must fight enormous odds. As he chops through rival after competitor, you can’t help but be impressed by his devotion to the task at hand.
Only Momoa could have pulled it off, and the action is so expertly staged that it ends up seeming like a tragic dance. One of the more heartbreaking and gripping scenes in a film full of them, when all is said and done.
8. Mad Max: Fury Road
George Miller’s post-apocalyptic franchise Mad Max: Fury Road,(Action Movies on HBO) starring Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky and Charlize Theron as Furiosa, was resurrected in 2015. Working together, they overcame a warlord’s savage War Boys and their deadly vehicles to release the ladies he held captives.
The series, known for its futuristic vehicle battle, outdid itself with Fury Road. The audience was treated to some of the most breathtaking and deadly car chases. HBO Max only has the theatrical version available, however, the Black and Chrome Edition looked far better without color.
During World War II’s Battle of Dunkirk(Action Movies on HBO), British and French soldiers are trapped in the town of Dunkirk. This military drama, directed by Christopher Nolan, depicts their plight.
Meanwhile, German fighter aircraft are flying above the town and firing on the troops. The first time viewers saw the Greenland(Action Movies on HBO) trailer, they knew they were in for a laugh. Despite Ric Roman Waugh, the film’s director, denying the claim. Instead, he decided to look into people who were about to face a calamity.
Drama is successfully layered on top of the chaos, and Greenland checks off more than a few boxes in that respect for those searching for some depth to go along with their end-of-the-world calamities. Worth checking out if you’re a fan of the genre.
5. The Fugitive: Action Movies on HBO
In “The Fugitive,”(Action Movies on HBO) even if you’ve seen it a million times, it never fails to spike your heart rate. Harrison Ford starred in the 1993 film based on the television series of the same name, in which he is accused of killing his wife despite his protests of innocence.
The man escapes US Marshal Sam Gerard‘s pursuit when a train accident saves him from execution row and enables him to seek out the real culprit of the crime (Tommy Lee Jones). With seven nominations, including Best Picture, Jones won his first and only Oscar for the film.
4. The Batman: Action Movies on HBO
You either think The Batman(Action Movies on HBO) is the greatest Batman film ever made, or you don’t know what you think. It’s only after you see it that you’ll understand. Robert Pattinson dons a huge black cloak and a lot of black eye makeup from Hot Topic to play Bruce Wayne’s alter ego.
During Batman’s hunt for a serial killer who leaves cryptic clues in his wake, Gotham’s dark history is revealed. A spin-off series based on Colin Farrell’s depiction of The Penguin is in the works.
In this film, Colin Farrell’s depiction of The Penguin steals the show, and we’ll get to see how he fares in his spin-off series on HBO Max shortly as well. I think it’s a fantastic action movie.
3. Halloween Kills: Action Movies on HBO
Anthony Michael Hall plays Tommy, and Robert Longstreet plays Lonnie, among other new faces. They don’t add much to the story other than populating the town, and most of the individuals in the film have either no part at all or only cause awful things to happen. Underwritten, they are often harsh because of their lack of understanding of reality and weird aims.
The mob segment of the film is the film’s most significant contribution and the hardest staircase to ascend. Again, I won’t give anything away, but the mob plays no role in the story, which is made worse by the fact that it takes up a large chunk of the film’s duration.
There is just one message left on the screen before it dies, which states “Perhaps we are the monsters.” To make matters worse, it further fuels my resentment at Tommy’s reputation as a mob instigator.
2. Alita: Battle Angel
As an action-adventure picture, Alita: Battle Angel(Action Movies on HBO) has been a long time coming. Originally a Yukito Kishiro comic called Gunnm, it was eventually reworked into a prototype anime called Battle Angel in 1993. This is a picture that Rodriguez would naturally want to direct given his penchant for the visceral.
After an interplanetary battle in Alita’s steampunk future, Earth has been left in ruins. A cyborg with a human brain is given a second chance at life by Dr. Dyson Ido (Christoph Waltz). It’s cyborg bloodsports time for Alita, and she’s up against some terrifying opponents.

As compared to previous comic book movies, The Dark Knight is a darker film. Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker is a cinematic masterpiece. The film’s action sequences are enhanced by the use of real-world effects.
