André the Giant’s agent White started officiating games on the side in 1985 while working as a side gig.

White became a full-time referee following the death of Andre in 1993. As a result, his appearances at pay-per-view events and WWF TV tapings skyrocketed. White officiated the Undertaker vs. Mankind Hell in a Cell bout at King of the Ring on June 28th, 1998.
