An estimated $8 million has been earned by American ventriloquist and television star Darci Lynne Farmer over her career. As a result of her appearance on the children’s programme “Little Big Shots,” Darci Lynne Farmer rose to national prominence in 2016.
Darci Lynne won the 12th season of “America’s Got Talent,” which elevated her fame the following year. As a result, Lynne has gone on to perform her ventriloquism act on several television programmes and has toured the nation with her hand puppets.
After winning America’s Got Talent, she received a one million dollar prize and a performance in Las Vegas of her own to thank for her success.
Darci Lynne Early Life
Darci Lynne Farmer was born on October 12, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Misty and Clarke Farmer. Her family consists of three brothers. When she was younger, Lynne loved to sing, but she lacked the self-assurance to perform in front of others. Because of this, they suggested that she apply for the 2014 International Cinderella Scholarship Program, which she did.
As a result, she gained confidence in her abilities. Laryssa Bonacquisti, a 12-year-old ventriloquist, was one of Lynne’s pageant winners, as well as a new friend. Lynne was inspired to give ventriloquism a go after meeting Laryssa. Lynne’s parents had bought her a puppet for her tenth birthday, which motivated her to enter Edmond’s Got Talent.
She ended up winning the competition. After this, she met ventriloquist coach Gary Owen, who would subsequently function as both her coach and manager. Lynne took home the top prize in both Oklahoma’s Got Talent and Oklahoma Kids’ junior categories in 2015.
Little Big Shots
It was during her appearance on “Little Big Shots” in March of 2016 that Lynne first caught the attention of the general public throughout the nation. With the help of her puppet, Katie, she sang “I Want to Be a Cowboy’s Sweetheart.” She selected to sing this particular song.
This year Lynne made history as the first-ever kid ventriloquist to perform in an evening show at the Vent Haven International Ventriloquists’ ConVENTion, which took place at the end of the year. It was a full year before Lynne made her debut on the British version of “Little Big Shots,” a year after her first appearance on the American version of the programme.
Darci Lynne American Got Talent
As a contestant on the 12th season of “America’s Got Talent,” Lynne achieved the most significant level of fame she has ever experienced. On the inaugural episode of the new season, she sang “Summertime” with Petunia, her bunny puppet. Within the first thirty hours of its airing, the performance has amassed the most views of any “AGT” video on YouTube.
Lynne’s second song was “Who’s Lovin’ You,” which she sang with the help of her mouse puppet Oscar, before serenading judge Mel B. As a result, she performed with her puppet, Edna Doorknocker, in the semifinals, singing “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” Puppets Oscar and Petunia appeared in Lynne’s rendition of “With a Little Help from My Friends” during the competition’s final round.
Finally, on the final episode of “America’s Got Talent,” she sang “Anything You Can Do” with her musical hero Terry Fator. One million dollars and a starring concert at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas were Lynne’s prized possessions when she was declared the season’s top performer.
