Netflix’s Blockbuster – Randall Park Get New Comedy Series coming this November!

The launch date of “Blockbuster,” a Netflix comedy series starring Randall Park and centered on a landmark movie rental company, has been scheduled for November 3. The whole first season of the half-hour comedy will debut on the streaming service at once.

For his part, Park portrays Timmy Yoon, the manager of the United States only remaining Blockbuster Video store. Yoon is an analog idealist. Timmy and the rest of his staff are responsible to their community to show that small businesses can provide the personal touch that large chains cannot.

Eliza Walker (Melissa Fumero), Carlos Herrera (Tyler Alvarez), Hannah Hadman (Madeleine Arthur), and Connie Serrano (Olga Merediz) round out the group with Park. J.B. Smoove, who plays Percy Scott, and Kamaia Fairburn, who plays Kayla Scott, are regular guest stars on the show.

Aside from being the show’s creator, Vanessa Ramos also acts as its executive producer and showrunner. Her resume includes roles in “Superstore” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” David Caspe and Jackie Clarke wrote and executive produced the program together with Universal Television. The Davis Entertainment team consists of John Davis and John Fox, both of whom serve as executive producers.

On Friday, Apple TV+ shared the debut date for the second season of “Acapulco.” On October 21, the streaming service will debut the second season of the comedy series starring Eugenio Derbez. The series centers on Maximo Gallardo, a young man who achieves his lifelong goal of working as a cabana boy in a luxurious Acapulco resort.

Derbez, Enrique Arizona, Fernando Carsa, Damián Alcázar, Camila Perez, Chord Overstreet, Vanessa Bauche, Regina Reynoso, Raphael Alejandro, Jessica Collins, Rafael Cebrián, and Carlos Corona will all be back for Season 2 to start up just where they left off in Season 1.

Lionsgate Television, 3Pas Studios, Zihuatanejo Productions, and The Tannenbaum Company collaborated on the production of “Acapulco” for Apple. Chris Harris serves as showrunner and executive producer for the series written by Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros, and Jason Shuman.
