Sylvester Stallone attorneys claimed in court records obtained by PEOPLE that their client “has not participated in any activity which constitutes purposeful dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets.”

Jennifer Flavin filed for divorce from Sylvester Stallone, and he has already answered.

Stallone, 76, rejected Flavin’s accusations that he “acted in the purposeful dissipation, depletion, and/or waste of marital assets which has had an unfavorable economic effect on the marital estate” in court records filed in Palm Beach County, Florida on Monday and obtained by PEOPLE.

To which Stallone’s legal team said, “he has not engaged” in such conduct.

In addition, the actor was against granting Flavin “exclusive usage” of their Palm Beach residence.

Flavin requested the court to take into account the “behavior of each party” that might extend the process and promote “mutual collaboration” to “lower the cost” of legal fees and other legal expenses.

When asked for comment, Stallone said his wife “hired lawyers to defend her and agreed to pay them their legal expenses.”

Stallone did not object to Flavin’s request to “return” her maiden name, and he acknowledged that their marriage had ended irretrievably.

Both Stallone’s and Flavin’s attorneys did not immediately return calls seeking comment from PEOPLE.

In the days after Flavin filed for divorce, Stallone disputed that their 25-year marriage had ended because of the dog.

He spoke out at the time about rumors that the couple split up because of his adoption of a Rottweiler named Dwight and that their dispute over the dog sparked the events that ultimately led to his filing for divorce.

The actor told TMZ that he and Flavin had disagreements about how to care for their dog since they live on opposite coasts and he travels regularly for business, but that these differences did not cause them to break up. He insisted that the breakup was not the result of a petty disagreement.

Flavin told PEOPLE: “After 25 years of marriage, I’m divorcing Sylvester Stallone. I’ll miss being married to him after more than 30 years, even though we’re both committed to our daughters.”

The businesswoman/model said, “I ask for privacy for our family as we peacefully go ahead.”

In the same PEOPLE interview, the Rambo star said, “My family is the most important thing in my life. These sensitive matters are now being discussed in private and on good terms.”
