When Mandy knocks, a guy called Yarla opens the door.
She adds as she unfolds a huge map and sets it on a table, “I brought what dad wanted me to bring.” Seems like something that might have been cut from The Goonies.
Sig Hansen, now safely back in Seattle, contacts his daughter via phone. Mandy tells him that they’re still searching for a crew despite the fact that all the places they checked out in the autumn have closed down. If they still want to go crab fishing, they’ll need to adjust their strategy. We’re going back to Norway,” Sig announces.

The fact that he is, for the first time in a very long time, completely outside of his comfort zone is something that Sig said EW would be his biggest difficulty. “Unknown waters were the greatest difficulty for me throughout my time fishing in Norway. In the Bering Sea, I feel completely at home with the landscape. Learning how to fish in Norway was like learning a new country.”
His ancestors were fishermen in Norway. Possible salvation lies in Sig’s genetic material.
As a new mother, Mandy may face additional difficulties in her life. Clark, her husband, is a crab fisherman, so it seems to reason that he would accompany her on this trip. Sailor, their daughter, will be staying with Mandy’s mother while they explore this new land. Sig’s “old right-hand man,” Jake Anderson, who is now captaining the FV Saga, will be joining them to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime chance.
Sig has fond memories of his time in Norway during his boyhood and is eager to go back. He stated, “I went fishing in Norway when I was a youngster, and I loved it.” We usually go to Norway once a year to see relatives, but with Covid, it hasn’t been possible for a few years.
