Doja Cat is the latest famous hip-hop artist to find inspiration in dance music, joining the likes of Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, Beyoncé, and Big Sean. She has specifically said that ’90s German rave music has recently been more her pace.

Currently, “I’m quite into this ’90s German rave type of feeling, and it’s very fun,” Doja said. “I know it’s kind of the vogue right now, but I liked that thing as a child and now that I can express it (obviously, I couldn’t buzz my head, wear a furry bra, and get a belly button piercing back then), I’m kind of embracing that.”
