ZOE SALDANA DISCUSSES HER AVATAR EXPERIENCE
Zoe Saldana discussed how Avatar impacted her as an actress, including her approach and what she learned from James Cameron.
Avatar placed Zoe Saldana on the map after nine years of acting. Saldana’s acting ranges from heartbreak to ecstasy. Saldana learned a lot from this movie and applied those skills to her later efforts. Zoe Saldana may not have landed Gamora without Avatar.
Zoe played Neytiri in Avatar and Nyota Uhura in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek before joining the Guardians. In Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, Saldana nails Neytiri’s complexity with more humor.
Working with James Cameron changed MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ’s perspective on film.
Her ability to emote with the motion capture suit helped her portray Gamora. It would be interesting to watch how Zoe Saldana has matured as an actress in the 13 years since the original movie. Saldana stole sequences in Avatar and will in The Way Of Water.
Avatar will reopen in 2022. Avatar: The Way of Water opens on Dec. 16, 2022. Avatar fan? Are you thrilled about a rerun? The Way Of Water? Leave your opinions in the comments or on social media, and visit The Illuminerdi for more on Avatar.
