Margot Robbie was “mortified” by all the attention her Barbie photo session received.

A typical Margot Robbie demeanor is calm and composed. It was a whole other ballgame when they moved the production of Barbie to Los Angeles.

Is there a movie coming out that will get as much buzz as Barbie, the cinematic adaption we didn’t realize we needed?

In light of the fan outcry over the hyper color-clad Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling set photographs, it’s safe to say that this film will spark a fashion trend.

That fluorescent pink! There’s a yellow highlighter! What’s up with those multicolored goggles? Put down your inline skates and get ready for this trend. “Barbiecore” is on its way, so be ready.

Margot Robbie Admits She Was ‘Mortified’ by ‘Barbie’

Even though the pictures were a huge hit with the masses, they were a nightmare for the actors and the crew working on the production.

Margot Robbie said on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that she was “mortified” by the response to the photographs.

Margot Robbie stated, “I can’t tell you how embarrassed we were.” People think we’re having a great time, but we’re really dying quietly. Dying. This was the most shameful experience of my life, I thought.

Margot Robbie said that she was unprepared for the kind of attention they received when filming outside sequences in Los Angeles.

I was aware that we would be filming in Los Angeles’s natural settings. When I heard you were going to be working on the outside of the building, I knew you’d get papped. Because, you know, we stick out a little bit in those clothes, there’s definitely going to be a small gathering of people who take attention.

So, I anticipated some media coverage and the dissemination of a few images, but I was unprepared for the level of interest that was generated.

I mean, it was just insane. I felt like there were hundreds of eyes on me at all times.

Since this iteration of the Barbie project was launched in 2019, it has been a source of constant media attention. Robbie, Gosling, director/co-writer Greta Gerwig, and co-writer/director Noah Baumbach have all contributed to raising the artistic bar much above what it was for Barbie in Swan Lake.

Little is known about the narrative, but we do know that Simu Liu, Issa Rae, Ncuti Gatwa, and Hari Nef will all portray different versions of Barbie and Ken.

Will Ferrell, Kate McKinnon, America Ferrera, Alexandra Shipp, Michael Cera, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Emerald Fennell are also included in the cast, among others.

Sony and Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment are producing romantic comedy.
