James Gunn, a film director, has married his longtime girlfriend, the actress Jennifer Holland, in Los Angeles. The director announced the happy news on Friday on Instagram, writing that the ceremony took place in Aspen, Colorado, and was attended by actors from his Marvel and DC movies.

Gunn, 56, is the director of Marvel Studios’ blockbuster “Guardians of the Galaxy” series. The filmmaker has worked on many projects in the DCEU, including “The Suicide Squad” (slated for release in 2021) and the HBO Max spinoff series Peacemaker (which he also wrote and developed).

Holland’s character, government agent Emilia Harcourt, appears in both “The Suicide Squad” and “Peacemaker” series.

The 35-year-old actress expressed gratitude to Gunn for allowing her to become a part of “your love, life, and family with me” in an Instagram post.

She claimed they tied the knot “surrounded by the most gorgeous persons, the most spectacular landscape, and infinite love and joy”.
Since 2015, Gunn has been in a relationship with Holland. Before their 2008 divorce, the director was married to Jenna Fischer of “The Office.”
