After 8 years apart, Tom DeLonge is rejoining Blink 182 for their upcoming reunion tour, which kicks off in Tijuana.

Blink 182 Announces Reunion Tour: The tour kicks off in Tijuana, Mexico in the month of March. The band’s bassist-singer Mark Hoppus was diagnosed with lymphoma last year, prompting a reunion between the two original members of the San Diego-based band.

How old are they, again? After leaving the San Diego punk-pop band in 2015, Tom DeLonge is getting back together with his old bandmates for a world tour.

DeLonge, 46, bassist/singer Mark Hoppus, 50, and Travis Barker, 46, will reunite for a tour next year. It premieres on March 11 at the Imperial GNP Festival in Tijuana’s Parque Morelos. Starting on May 4 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, the U.S. leg will wrap up on July 16 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

The band will be releasing their new single, “Edging,” on Friday. It’s being promoted as Hoppus, DeLonge, and Barker’s first new album in ten years.

Tickets for blink 182’s June 2019 show in San Diego cost between $39.50 and $169.50, plus service fees. Details about the tour’s general on-sale can be found below.

Hoppus and DeLonge formed blink 182 in 1992 alongside original member and drummer Scott Traynor in Poway. In 1998, Barker took over for Traynor. After the success of their previous album, “All the Small Things,” the band released “Enema of the State” in 1999, which contained the hits “What’s My Age Again?” and “All the Small Things,” among other songs that rapidly became fan favorites.

Where did Tito Puente come from, and what caused his untimely demise?

After parting ways in 2005, Barker was the only survivor of an aircraft tragedy that took the lives of four others in 2009. This brought the reunited three back together.

Hoppus and Barker confirmed DeLonge’s departure from the band in January 2015. DeLonge has said that he has not left the band and has no plans to do so.

However, that’s beside the point.

The first shows with DeLonge’s replacement, Matt Skiba, were announced by Hoppus and Barker in the final week of January 2015. In April 2016, the reformed trio’s debut single with Skiba, “Bored to Death,” was released.

Blink 182’s Grammy-nominated “California” (2016) and Grammy-nominated “Nine” (2019) albums were both recorded after Skiba joined the band. Meanwhile, in 2015, DeLonge released his debut solo album, and in 2016, the most recent album by Angels & Airwaves, the band he formed in 2005 while blink 182 was on a four-year hiatus.

Over at his To The Stars Academy, DeLonge has published four books in which he discusses his fascination with UFOs and extraterrestrial life. The first trailer for his directorial debut, “Monsters of California,” was released in May of this year.

DeLonge and Hoppus reconciled last year after being estranged for six years when DeLonge learned that Hoppus was undergoing treatment for B-cell lymphoma. Last year, after completing treatment for his illness, Hoppus performed again, this time with Barker and their mutual friend and musician Kevin Gruft of the band Escape the Fate, for a Halloween show.

Hoppus has begun writing a memoir about his life as a member of blink 182 and his struggle with lymphoma. He went to Barker and Kourtney Kardashian’s wedding in May of this year.
