Blake Shelton is getting ready to leave “The Voice” after more than a decade on the show. According to NBC, Shelton will leave the show after the next season.
Kelly Clarkson will return as a coach for Season 23. After the next season of “The Voice,” Blake Shelton will no longer serve as a coach, and in his place will be Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper.
The 22 seasons of “The Voice” have all included Shelton as a coach. His last season, Season 23, will debut in the spring of 2023 on NBC. Season 22 is now running.
After much internal debate, Blake Shelton has chosen to leave “The Voice” after Season 23. This program is like a second home to me; it has improved my life in every aspect.
Blake Shelton expressed appreciation to the show’s audience and production staff in his message. He acknowledged longstanding host Carson Daly and his wife Gwen Stefani, whom he had met in 2014 while they were both coaches on the program.

This year’s NBC lineup has Blake Shelton, Stefani, John Legend, and Camila Cabello. Artists such as Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Nick Jonas, Pharrell Williams, Usher, and Shakira have been on the program throughout the years.
Clarkson spoke out about her hectic schedule, which includes appearing on both “The Voice” and “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” in a cover story for Variety last month. She hinted in the interview that she would return to “The Voice.” In Season 23, she will be the coach for the tenth time overall.
