Yook Sungjae of BTOB is a determined hero in “The Golden Spoon.”
The new MBC drama “The Golden Spoon,” based on the same-named webtoon, follows a kid from a low-income household as he uses a magical golden spoon to switch places with a classmate from a rich family. Yook Sungjae of BTOB plays the lead role of Lee Seung Chun, a struggling student who dreams of a better future with the help of his wealthy buddy Hwang Tae Yong, played by Lee Jong Won.

When the elderly lady in the first episode of “The Golden Spoon” informed Lee Seung Chun that he could use the spoon to trade places with a rich acquaintance, he wasn’t sure whether he should trust her. After two meals at Hwang Tae Yong’s home, he still couldn’t bring himself to use the spoon and ended up tossing it.

But after his near-death experience in the ocean, Lee Seung Chun changed his mind at the conclusion of the episode when he saw the golden spoon materialize before him. Once Lee Seung Chun surfaced again, he made a beeline for Hwang Tae Yong’s home in search of the golden spoon so he could request a meal.

Lee Seung Chun, enraged after deciding to use the golden spoon to alter his fate, is seen in freshly released stills from the next episode of the drama. So that he doesn’t end up like his buddy Jin Seok, Lee Seung Chun desperately searches among the garbage for his missing spoon.
Lee Seung Chun, now in possession of the magical spoon once again, storms into Hwang Tae Yong’s home for his third dinner there, giving Hwang Tae Yong an angry gaze as he sits down to eat.
