Friday night (October 14), Morgan Wallen surprised concertgoers at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville by joining Jason Aldean onstage for a performance as part of Aldean’s Rock N’ Roll Cowboy Tour.
The audience exploded in shouts and clapping when Aldean introduced his buddy and fellow country superstar to the stage.
As Morgan Wallen entered the stage, Aldean replied, “Yeah, I believe they sort of like you, Morgan.”
So, guy, what do you think? Do you feel like breaking into a song? A tune you’ve written? In your opinion, what should we do? Aldean questioned the audience with a what do you guys think” remark.

Without pausing for breath, Morgan Wallen yelled, “What the hell is going on, Nashville?”

After that, they sang “Whiskey Glasses,” Wallen’s 2018 number one, as a duo. Singing along to Aldean’s band, the performers danced and walked around the stage.

You Make It Easy, a song Morgan Wallenco-wrote with Tyler Hubbard, Brian Kelley, and Jordan Schmidt, was also played. For his 2018 album, Rearview Town, Aldean recorded this song.
Aldean recently reflected on his experience recording “You Make It Easy,” telling Music Mayhem, “I didn’t really know much about Morgan at the time.” I had heard rumors that he was a new musician performing around town. A little EP of his had just been released at the time, but he was still relatively unknown. You Make it Easy was the pitch they gave me while he was still relatively unheard of as a musician.
After Aldean took the song to the top of the charts, he and Wallen finally got to meet at the No. 1 celebration.
Over the course of the subsequent years, Aldean and Morgan Wallen became friends, and in early 2020, Aldean invited Morgan Wallen to join him on the road for his We Back Tour.
There, he recalled, “I got to know him rather well.”
Aldean and Morgan Wallen have shared the stage at the Bridgestone Arena before. They sang “She’s Country” together with Luke Bryan in 2021, and Aldean stunned Morgan Wallen by joining her onstage at one of her headline shows at Bridgestone Arena this year to play “Hicktown.”
A duet between Aldean and Miranda Lambert, “Drowns The Whiskey,” was written by Josh Thompson, Brandon Kinney, and Jeff Middleton. The song was released in May of 2018 as the second single from Aldean’s eighth studio album, Rearview Town.
Before introducing Lambert, Aldean called her an “ass kicker.”
Thus, Miranda and I have a history together that spans many years. She’s the kind of country music gal I’d like to be if you get my drift. According to Aldean, she “is an ass kicker.” We’ve only ever performed this song live once, and that was at an awards event, but we’ve had a song that you people created a great hit for us. We haven’t had any rehearsals, so we’ll just have to see how everything works out.
Lambert greeted Nashville, saying, “Hey, Nashville,” before wishing the group well.
The arena that hosts the Nashville Predators was almost full when the two country superstars performed their chart-topping duet.
The chorus has Aldean and Lambert singing, “Whiskey’s meant to drown the memory / I’ve gone from one to one too many / And the thing that really gets me / Is how your memory drowns the whiskey.”

The concert was the song’s second public airing. Initially, Aldean and Lambert debuted the song during the 2018 CMA Awards.
On July 15 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Jason Aldean began his 34-city Rock N’ Roll Cowboy Tour.

The name of the Live Nation-produced tour comes from a song by the 2022 CRS Humanitarian Award winner; the song is called “Rock And Roll Cowboy” and can be found on the artist’s ninth studio album, Macon, Georgia, which was released on April 22.
