The model Lanisha Cole is the mother of Nick Cannon’s eighth kid.
While Cannon has a history of announcing the arrival of his children before they are even born, he kept the announcement of his ninth kid, Onyx Ice Cole Cannon, from Cole until after the baby was born.
Nick Cannon posted a photo of himself, Onyx, and Cole on Instagram with the caption “I Do” by his own band playing in the background to announce the news.
Nick Cannon set to welcome his ninth child
Meet the ONYX ICE COLE CANNON… This day has me feeling awed by the Divine Feminine all over again. God has blessed @MissLanishaCole and me with the opportunity to care for an Angel while we are on Earth The caption was written by Nick Cannon. I promise to do all in my power to keep this kid safe, care for him or her, teach him or her right from wrong, and love him or her unconditionally.

The caption now reads as he explained it: “Although I am not easily angered, have thick skin, and have always been honest and forthright, not all of my relatives share these qualities. Therefore, I beg and hope that any and all cynicism and criticism be directed towards ME rather than the wonderful Mothers of my children.”
Nick Cannon concluded the caption by requesting prayers for himself and his loved ones.
Video clips of her baby shower and Nick Cannon seeing his new daughter were posted on Cole’s Instagram account as well.
I feel like my heart has expanded immensely because of the happiness I experience as a mother. Amidst all of this adoration, I can’t help but get fascinated with her In an Instagram Story, the model said.
Since 2012, Cannon has welcomed nine children from six different mothers.
He and Mariah Carey are parents to 11-year-old twins named Moroccan and Monroe, as well as a 5-year-old son named Golden and a 1-year-old daughter named Powerful Queen. He is also the proud father of 1-year-old twins named Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, who he shares with Abby De La Rosa, and a 6-week-old son named Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi.
Cannon’s kid with Alyssa Scott, Zen, was just five months old when he died in 2021 from brain cancer.
Cannon announced their pregnancy with Bell last month with a video of the pair posing at a photoshoot.
Nick Cannon has spoken openly about his desire to quit having children and has considered both celibacy and a vasectomy during the last year.
However, in June, Nick Cannon stated on the “Lip Service” podcast that he violated the vow of chastity he made last year when Zen died. He said that he was expecting additional kids but didn’t specify how many.
I couldn’t even make it to January,” he said. “My goal for the year was to be among the most successful. As a natural next step, I began sorting through my belongings. When my kid passed away, I fell into a deep depression. The whole world could tell I was having a rough time in December. And so the general consensus was, “Let’s just give him a little vagina, and that’s going to heal it all.”
In continuation, Cannon said “I felt vulnerable and succumbed because of that. That’s why I began fucking a lot more often in December, particularly in the days leading up to Christmas.”
