It is with great sadness that we share the news that gospel singer Keith Wonderboy Johnson, 50, has apparently gone away.

Black Gospel Radio and Larry Reid Live broke the story on the internet first. However, at this moment, very little information is available concerning his demise. Social media tributes from Ted Winn and Titus Showers, as well as Pastor E. Dewey Smith, verified the news.

Although Keith Wonderboy Johnson’s musical career began with his father and uncles in The Spiritual Voices, he went solo with the publication of Through the Storm in 1998. He has recorded 14 solo albums, 11 of which have charted on the Billboard Gospel Albums list and others on the Independent Albums and Heatseekers charts. Johnson won six Stellar Awards and received two Dove Award nominations.
