New ‘A Christmas Carol’ Puts a ‘Spirited’ Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell in the Role of Scrooge

The movie flips the script on the Christmas classic by having Ferrell’s ghost convince Ryan Reynolds’ Scrooge-like character to reconsider his own life.

AppleTV has recently released a teaser for “Spirited,” a musical update on “A Christmas Carol” starring Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell, even though Halloween is still weeks away.

A Christmas Carol

Clint Briggs, played by Ryan Reynolds, is an anti-Christmas version of Ebenezer Scrooge, while Will Ferrell portrays the Ghost of Christmas Present. The film’s description hints at an unexpected turn when Briggs supposedly confronts his spectral visitor with questions about his own past, present, and destiny.

Music for the film was composed by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who previously composed songs for “La La Land,” “The Greatest Showman,” and “Dear Evan Hansen.”

There is a whole room in Cher’s $85 million Malibu estate dedicated to her many wigs.

The film “Spirited” opens in cinemas on November 11 and will be available on AppleTV+ a week later.
