Trailer for “Creed III” features Michael B. Jordan returning to the boxing ring to face Jonathan Majors.

In  Creed III, Michael B. Jordan reprises his role as Adonis Creed, although this time he has more responsibilities. With “Creed III,” the first “Rocky” film to not star Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa, Jordan makes his directorial debut.

The film, scheduled for release in cinemas next March, follows Jordan’s character Creed, a boxer whose previous successes have prepared him for a new fight. That’s provided by Anderson Dame (Jonathan Majors), an old pal of Adonis’s from their youth who ended up in prison for a long time because of something they did together. There’s no foe like the past, as the slogan for “Creed III” puts it.

My first film as director?! There is no film that has been more personal to me and no picture I have felt more equipped to the helm,” Jordan stated on Twitter with the release of the teaser. “I’m psyched to finally unveil the first trailer for ‘Creed III.’ Thanks so much to my actors and crew for keeping this franchise going strong.

The screenplay for “Creed III” was written by Ryan Coogler, Keenan Coogler, and Oscar nominee Zach Baylin (who wrote “King Richard“), the first film’s director. Keenan Coogler and Baylin wrote the script for the film. Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris, Florian Munteanu, and Phylicia Rashad are all-stars with Majors and Jordan.
